Shapira Scroll of Deuteronomy Recreation on parchment like paper (not real parchment). The scroll is about 33 inches long by almost 5 inches wide. In 1883 Moses Shapira brought the scroll which containd a portion of the Book of Deuteronomy to the British Museum that he got from Bedouins in the Holy Land. It was declared a forgery and later Shapira committed suicide. Now a new Book, The Moses Scroll by Ross K Nichols claims the scroll is probably genuine.
