Arad Ostracon #18 Temple of Yahweh recreation. It is about 2 5/8 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide. It is also called the House of Yahweh ostracon. This ostracon is the only direct proof of the First Temple's existence thus far uncovered by archaeology. One of the bearers of the letter is a Kerosite, possibly related to the Nethinim that some consider to have been Temple slaves. The original ostracon is on display at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
