This is a recreation of Cyrus the Great's Tomb. The model is resin cast and is 8 inches long by 8 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall. Cyrus the Great is mentioned a number of times in the Bible, especially in the prophecy of Isaiah 44:28, & 45:1. See also Ezra 1:2,7,8; 3:7; 4:3,5; 5:13,14,17; 6:3,14. Inside the tomb was a gold coffin sitting on a table with golden legs. The tomb was looted during Alexander the Great's invasion of Persia. The tomb is located in Pasargadea, Iran. According to Plutarch, his epitaph reads, "O man, whoever you are and wherever you come from, for I know you will come, I am Cyrus who won the Persians their empire. Do not therefore begrudge me this bit of earth that covers my bones."
