Amarna Amulet & Mold Replicas (resin casts). About 1 1/4 inches by 1 inch. Rare mold from Amarna, Ancient Egypt. 18th Dynasty, 1364--1334 BC. Artifact unearthed at Tel-el-Amarna during Egyptian explorations of the 1920's. The city was built as a new capital of Egypt under Pharaoh Akhenaten, and was dedicated to his new monotheistic religion centered around one god, the Aten (the Sun God). The mold seems to be a face of a king.
