P66 Gospel of John Codex Recreation. This reproduction has John 1:1 to John 10:36. It is about 9 inches by 6 inches. The picture shows two codices; one opened to see the script, and the other closed to show the binding and ties.
This reproduction has the following features as used in the original:
1. Full leather bindings and ties
2.Old manuscripts (reproductions) used for stiffening in the covers(these have been intentionally left partially exposed as if the leather has been torn away).
3.The cover is bound with a wrap band as well as ties top and bottom. The codices were used for sending across the empire somewhat as letters are today and these bindings represent in usage the modern use of an envelope for protection during transit.
4.The text is uncial Greek and in this reproduction has been hand written.
