Clay Oil Jar Recreation about 4 3/4 inches tall from Israel. These jars would contain oil for the oil lamps. A great variety of jars exists, but this replica is based on a style common used in the First century AD. They are of the style that were mentioned by Jesus in the Parable of the Ten Virgins. The jars are made from fine clay and glazed inside to prevent leakage.
