Gospel of Thomas Recreation: the first 2 pages. IEach page is about 10 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide. Some scholars think it has the earliest saying of Jesus. It was discovered near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in December 1945. It has 114 syaings of Jesus of which half are paralleled in the New Testament gospels. It dates to about 340 AD. It is now housed in the Coptic Museum in Cairo.
